the fact that the catholic church is in a constant state of denial goes without saying, but here's what I wonder about. What is the "sudden" need for cover up? If the man has been "resting peacefully" (Ok, whatever) next to his partner for all of these years & it seems to be rather well known that he was gay, why dig him up now? what good is that going to do? I would think bringing this much attention to it would only undermine the intention to keep his homosexuality hush hush. I find that every time I comment on a post here that my thoughts can be summed up in one of 3 ways. Religious people are either astonishingly stupid, pitifully sad, or sometimes both.

Per the article, the RCC leaders are claiming that they're moving him to a location where his grave can more readily be visited by catholics. Apparently this is somehow related to them planning on cannonizing him soon.
